My journey to starting
Full Bloom Sleep

My daughter was born in February of 2020 and I fully expected the newborn period to be tough as everyone warns you. What I didn't expect was the crippling anxiety and depression the sleep deprivation would bring along with it. I remember laying awake when my daughter was actually sleeping not able to stop thinking about how many times she would be up that night, how long it would take to get her back down, etc. I kept waiting for it to get better as she got older but it didn't. The sleep deprivation made me impatient, angry, and I had very little mental clarity. It was a dark period of time for me and it made it hard for me to enjoy my baby. After working with a sleep consultant when our daughter was 4 months old, I learned the fundamentals of baby sleep, how to start laying a sleep foundation, and gained so much confidence around our daughter's sleep. She started sleeping so much better which meant we were too! Not only was she a happier, more engaged baby when awake, but my husband and I had the energy, patience, and clarity we needed to be the parents we wanted to be for her.

After my son was born in March of 2022, it was a completely different experience. I had the knowledge of baby sleep to know what to expect, I knew how to lay a healthy sleep foundation from the beginning, and I had the confidence I needed to keep my anxiety at bay and fully enjoy the newborn period.

Fast forward to April of 2023 - I decided to get my pediatric sleep consulting certification because I know how challenging it is functioning on very little rest and the crippling anxiety that comes from not knowing when things will improve. I know how valuable the gift of sleep is.

It is my goal to help families find better rest  in a way that meets their goals, values, and needs. I want you to end our time working together having learned more about baby sleep then you did before, having the confidence going forward around your child's sleep, and, most importantly, feeling supported, encouraged, and respected.

Outside of serving families, I am a life long Alaskan who loves exploring the outdoors as much as possible with my family. I enjoy sourdough baking, playing board games, a good cup of coffee, hiking, and beach combing.
